An in form Joffy might come in useful anorl. Though not sure if we can with either.

Pretty sure we can recall Joffy if we want in January. Hell of a punt though. And where do you play him? As a 10? Again (for me), another who would benefit from playing off someone like DCL in a front 2.
Re: Brighton Away Match Day Thread
Yeah true. Would be a case of having someone to bring on from the bench with an eye for goal. Though Farke already has a player like that and favours bringing Nmecha on instead, so doubt Joffy would get a look in.Titman wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 7:37 pmPretty sure we can recall Joffy if we want in January. Unless Joffy is playing right wing these days? Not sure where Hull have been playing him this season.
Re: Brighton Away Match Day Thread
Unless we start playing with two upfront we're fucked, what's the point of DCL upfront winning 90% of the ball when he needs Piroe to pick up the pieces. Farke needs to Farke off

Piroe is not the answer, sure can finish but bout as mobile as a static caravan.
Re: Brighton Away Match Day Thread
Wouldn't be surprised to see him leave in Jan, unless Farke is sacked by then. Farke clearly doesnt fancy him/doesnt know how to use him.
In his 3rd year of a 4 year contract. After amortisation anything over £2.5m - 5m (depending on cut-off points) will be pure profit.
Dunno how much he's worth, 26 yrs old, proven he can score goals at a big, high-pressure club at Champ level, though should get more than the £10m we paid.
Re: Brighton Away Match Day Thread
Great finisher but just not athletic enough for prem and lets be honest quite often the champ, big fella who is not strong enough to hold up the ball whilst not fast enough to play a 9 and def not a 10. Shame as scores some beauties.Rick wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 11:58 amWouldn't be surprised to see him leave in Jan, unless Farke is sacked by then. I'm not sure Farke ever wanted him in the first place. Tried Rutter in the 9 in his first season, then Joseph at the start of his second season.Sid wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 3:46 pmGreat finisher but just not athletic enough for prem and lets be honest quite often the champ, big fella who is not strong enough to hold up the ball whilst not fast enough to play a 9 and def not a 10. Defo not a 10. There were games in the Champ where he'd hardly touch the ball for 90 mins despite us dominating possession. And yes, lack of physically and mobility rules him out as a lone striker.
As others have posted, needs to be in a front 2.
Re: Brighton Away Match Day Thread
Only genuine goalscorer that we have.
Not playing him is criminal.
Go on then flidney, I bet you'd have Alan Smith over Mark Viduka an all wouldn't you?

Snap your hand off. It’s the shite thats been happening. The sitting deep leaving DCL winning headers for the opposition or playing BA cos he runs around alot plus loads more. Got to be ruthlessRick wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 11:48 am Would chaps on here have taken our current points tally after 10 games before season started?
Not making light of folk's concerns, as I share them. Farke to me is a guy who needs plan A to work if he's going to get something from a game (which is a serious weakness imo). But he has got it right a fair bit this season.
If he gets it right v Forest and we beat them, the outlook and table looks so much different.
I think the Forest match is a big game for Farke. A defeat and it's starting to look pretty grim.
